Mother's Day Craft Project
Mother’s Day is the perfect day to show and tell our mom and other especial ladies in our life. The best way for kids to show and tell their mom how much they love them is to make their own mother’s day gift. Last week my students were so busy making some gifts and they did three gifts. Here is some picture of the gift they did.

My Pre-kindergaten
The Pre–K program at Good Samaritan where I work is for children who will turn 5 by December 2 and move onto kindergarten in the following fall. The teacher/student ratio is 1 to 12. The group size is no larger than 12. The program designed to prepared children for the next step in schooling, kindergarten. Children in this program are exposed to the literacy, math and science concepts necessary for success entering kindergarten in the fall.
I expect my children to be able to function as a group. I encourage them to participate when activity is being presented. Children who are 4 years old are more active and have many interest each day. I consist of variety of active activities and quit as well as individual choice activities. As a teacher I facilitator the child’s learning and provide guidance. The curriculum structure recognizes the need for the children to master certain academic concepts prior as well as the need for 4 years old children to have independence and choice. I believe that I provide balance of structured, independent activity and provide developmental education in order them to move on.

Cold and Flu
Spring is here and we are looking forward for the change in the weather. Many children in my school are coming with runny nose and terrible coughs. I see vicious cycle of colds and flu symptoms are going around the school. The school policy about illness children should stay home if they have fever of 100 degrees or above, vomiting, coughing and mucus noses or eyes, children with these symptoms should be kept home until they are symptoms free to prevent spreading the germs in the school.

Parachute Game
This is a good group game for children so that they could learn to work with co-operation which we did this week. We were standing in a circle and I spread out the parachute and everyone holds the edge of it. I placed some bean bags in the center and they have to try to keep the bean bags from falling off on their side and I told them to lift the parachute high over their heads and down again. While they move the parachute slower and faster they noticed the different effects. I talked the soft sounds and breeze that we created. We continue doing it until the children had fun

Musical Chair
Musical Chair is a game that kids will love to play because it’s full of excitement. The best age group for this game is 4 to 10 years old. This week, we did this game as one of the game that I plan for a week. The kids enjoyed and had fun playing. Before we start the game, I explain the rules to prevent hurting their feeling when they are out of the game. The first rule that I told them was that who ever is out of the game they don’t need to feel bad because that’s part of the game. So, every kid who was out of the game I phrased them and gave them a high five so that they don’t feel bad about losing. I was amazed when the game was over because they didn’t argue, they played well and played without fighting each other. The game was the great way for them to let their energy out before doing setting activities.
